Monthly Event Hosted by Academie Lafayette

February 26, 2003 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Academie Lafayette is the French immersion public charter school that has been housed in the congregation B’Nai Jehudah building for the past 4 years. With a new property owner determined to tear down the historical temple and school, Academie Lafayette has found a new home at the former JC Nichols school – a cornerstone of the neighborhood since 1926. Renovation begins this month and the school plans to occupy the building by summer 2003. Join us to learn about the very successful Aademie Lafayette, their new home, and the controversy surrounding the demolition of the B’nai Jehudah temple. Chef Frank Marshall, KCPT’s CFO, is heading up our catering efforts with a mid-winter picnic theme. If anyone is interested in assisting, let me know. For those of you on the email list, once again, please accept my apologies for the glitches we have encountered with the new server. Always email me at the below address, otherwise the whole group reads your mail!
