Monthly Event Hosted by Oldham Restaurant
November 7, 2001 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
At the SE corner of 5th & Walnut * 1917: Built by grocery man W.D. Oldham, it was a hotel in a bustling part of Kansas City; courthouse and city hall around the corner, the market across the street. It was Kansas City’s “Old Town” – cabarets, saloons, politics … the trendy place to be!
2001: Eclectically hip space, created and designed and renovated by urban and culinary entrepreneur Nick McNeill, located on the “edge” (the trendy place to be). Across from City Market, down the street from Planters, Oldham Restaurant serves American-style cusisine with locally grown, organic ingredients. It is delicious. Dinner reservations at Oldham might complete your evening!
Join us for the last Urban Core gathering of 2001 to see this new splendor in the River Market and to learn about other developments in the area. Come show your support of Kansas City’s urban core as we cheer on the beginning of the holiday season.
A big thank you to the Myers who hosted our last gathering at Mpress. The Urban Core poster that was printed that evening has raised over $1,000.00 and will be donated to the Cantor Fitzgerald Children’s Relief Fund.
