Most everyone knows that after years of abuse and neglect, The Folly Theater was destined for the wrecking ball in the 1970s. Concerned Kansas Citians (similar to members of the Urban Core Group!) rallied around to save “The Grand Old Lady of Twelfth Street” so that we might enjoy it today. We will gather on stage to get a glimpse of the history within these walls and marvel at the splendor and beauty of this historic theater that has become a community cornerstone.
