Monthly Event Hosted by the Historic West Bottoms
March 18, 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Come celebrate with us, the Centennial of the Twelfth Street Trafficway Viaduct!
Our meeting will be hosted by Historic West Bottoms (formerly Central Industrial District Association) at the event space in the Rumely Tractor Building owned by Fullmoon Productions. Historic West Bottoms feels it fitting to celebrate the Twelfth Street Trafficway Viaduct’s Centennial for the structure’s significance as an engineering feat, and its commercial importance to the development of the West Bottoms… and we are glad to be a part of it!
Historic West Bottom (HWB) is a not-for-profit organization designed to promote and advocate for public and private improvements for the welfare of business and industry in the Central Industrial District, historically known as the West Bottoms.
On Wednesday, March 18, HWB will host a public ceremony and reception to provide an opportunity
• to learn about the Twelfth Street Trafficway Viaduct’s construction and rehabilitation
• to acknowledge the leadership and ingenuity necessary to build and preserve infrastructure in our community, and
• to experience the structure from an adjacent structure.
A reception after the ceremony will be hosted by Historic West Bottoms and the Urban Core Group in the Rumely Tractor building. Angela Hagenbach will be performing as well.

The Rumely Tractor Building opened on October 9, 1896.

12th Street Trafficway Viaduct opened on March 18, 1915.
