Monthly Event Hosted at Kansas City Community Kitchen-Culinary Cornerstones
September 28, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Our event this month will be at the Community Kitchen, a program of Episcopal Community Services and hosted by Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences. Located on the northwest corner of E. 8th Street & Paseo, the Community Kitchen provides free, restaurant-style meals to many of Kansas City’s homeless in a welcoming and dignified environment. Here are a couple of links about this important program:

The Urban Core Group supports this effort and we need your help to support it even more! We will be donating our old Urban Core Group sign (the one we put outside at our event locations) to raise cash for the Community Kitchen. We are increasing this support by having an auction during our September 28th event so be ready for something extra special.
Thanks for your support of the Episcopal Community Services’ Community Kitchen, and
thanks to the host, Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences.
Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences is proud to support the Urban Core Group and the Episcopal Community Services’ Community Kitchen. Consistent with the mission of serving diverse populations, the College is committed to reaching out to organizations that support the strengthening of our communities. The College prides itself for fostering and facilitating opportunities for students and faculty to participate in community activities. Thus, we offer a helping hand with compassion and mercy. As the College fulfills its vision of growth, hope and prosperity, it will continue to support the Urban Core with the simple gift of giving and with a sentiment of confidence and optimism.
