The Urban Core Group of Kansas City was founded in 1995 as a community-focused organization that aims to promote and enhance the urban core of Kansas City. We are history buffs, business owners, professionals, community leaders, and everything in between who work together to improve the quality of life in the downtown and surrounding areas. We focus on issues such as economic development, historic preservation, community engagement, and urban planning to create a more vibrant and sustainable urban core.

We gather every month at a different location to showcase the urban core's unique assets and promote its revitalization while forming and strengthening personal connections. We invite you to join us at an upcoming event!
